[ONGOING] She was a hidden gem with more problems than she could count on her fingers. He was university student with more secrets locked away. Together, they were miles from sanity.
“I don’t see why you’ve decided to stick around for a couple more weeks,” she spits angrily. Tears are rolling furiously down her rosy cheeks. “Why bother with someone who’s insane? Someone who doesn’t have a future?”
He steps closer despite the fact she keeps pushing him away. Her body is shaking as strangled sobs escape her pale lips. His right hand tilts up her chin, making her light blue eyes meet his and for the first time, he sees how broken she is, how many shattered pieces there’s left to pick up.
“You do have a future,” he says softly. She could smell the cigarette spoke on his breath as he gets closer. “a future with me.”
