Sometimes, it's those people in the background that make all the difference.
Every story has a setting, plot, major conflict, and, of course, main characters. We've known this since elementary school. Yet, let's not forget about the others- you know, the background characters.
In this book, you will find a collection of short stories, all written from the point of view of an "extra."
Suggestions, requests, and constructive criticism are all welcome!

Briar has to move to a new place with her mother after she has found a new job. One that can benefit both of them. She now has to go to a new school which she is not looking forward to and meets a boy with who she wants to try new things. But with her mother's past experience with her father, is she able to leave the past in the past? -------- "I'm going to shower," I say and get up. COMPLETED The existence of grammatical errors, misplaced words etc. is exorbitant as the majority of the book had been written when I was 13. Read at your own risk. - - - "He was standing there in all his glory while I was standing here in all my ...nakedness..." The sentence that you have just read could exactly describe the situation I am in. - - - Have you ever been put in a situation in which you can't speak, think or move? Well, I had. And it wasn't in front of anyone, but in front of the school's supposedly bad boy. Hooray me, am I right? I am one of those outsider girls, who doesn't like to associate with anyone, and, on top of that, a so-called teacher's pet, too. Although that didn't seem to stop the bad boy from taking an interest in me. Funnily enough, he wasn't the person to initiate a conversation by simply approaching me. I took two steps back for every stride he took towards me. I gulped again before shaking me head. "She's just joking Ace." my voice quivered as I took another two steps back. We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints.
