[This fan fiction takes place in the world of LoZ: Breath of the Wild. There will be no major spoilers! But there will be characters, villages, side quests, and etc from the game.]

You are just a healer in Hateno village. No one really knows where you came from before you moved to Hateno to set up shop. Some people say you're suspicious, and hiding a dark secret, while others claim you're bland.

Then one day, while adventuring for herbs, and a way to pass time, in the mountains, you hear a yell. You look to see a man who seemed to passed out from the cold, and even though he couldve killed you when he woke up. You still took care of him.

Once he woke up and was on his way, you thought you were never going to see him ever again, but oh were you wrong.

[This contains some descriptions of blood/ wounds/fighting scenes/mentions of suicide and other related themes. You have been warned if you're squeamish, but don't worry, it's nothing too intense. ALSO IM NOT A LORE EXPERT DONT YELL AT ME AHAAAAHHH. ALSO THIS IS EXTREMELY CHEESY]

Cover put together crappily by me with text stuff for free. Heck yeah.

Beautiful artwork belongs to Jeremy Fensky!

Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. He wasn't a man who had time to deal with or worry about things like memories anyway. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him. Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures, not quite monster and not quite human, begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he travels across the land to find a way to destroy these creatures. It should've been just another job for him, just a problem the people needed solved, just another errand for the incarnation of Hylia's hero. But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels what he lost, what he failed to protect, even after one hundred years. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all. As he journeys on his quest to defeat Ganon and save Princess Zelda, Link must learn to contend with another ancient evil that taints the land, all while facing the ghosts of his forgotten past. But how long can a disgraced hero last in the face of his failures? Cover art designed by @DaybreakVision on Twitter. Some themes may be upsetting to some readers. Viewer discretion advised. REWRITTEN ⚠️WARNING⚠️ Possible Content: Abuse Smut Blood & Injury Sexual Assault Traumatic Events Please do not read for the sole purpose of smut. If that's all you're interested in, let me refer you to my book of lemons revolving around Link. Check my profile for it! (Currently drafted) For the sake of sanctity, you and most characters including Link will be 18+ present time. ▲ ▲ ▲ I always felt such a bond with him, one that ran deep like the temple of Lake Hylia, or so I've heard. Among the rest he was the only human I'd ever felt close to. But there was a problem. That bond only ran so deep as it hit steel within Link's soul, that of which never once had truly allowed passage of my being. I've always felt that perhaps our fondness of one another was barely mutual, but it became apparent to me the moment I felt his soul falter and stop dancing with mine. I thought I was his best friend. What was the reason? ▲ ▲ ▲ The soul is the only thing the hero carries along his reincarnations, bound to Hyrule's aid by the goddess Hylia. ▲ ▲ ▲ ⚠️ A slow burn romance. You're in for a weird ride. Also, story may not be for you if you personally do not like large Y/N character development. (Story is in the making, expect possible changes of story) Disclaimer: I do not own you or any of the characters accounted for. You belong to yourself of course, and the rest of TP's characters to Nintendo. Very few OC's will be present for plot development.
