Meet Allie. Allie Farr. Hardly seventeen, she is battered, beaten, and abused at home, while brutally bullied at school. She keeps her true self hidden, terrified of being more vulnerable. Meet Harry. Harry Styles. At eighteen, he is simply misunderstood. A boy with a dark past but a bright future, all he needs is someone to listen. Someone like Allie. Allie's and Harry's worlds collide, leaving them both to learn each other's stories. But opening up isn't easy. Especially with a burden like theirs.

After moving into a new house in London at the age of 18, Harry Styles is welcomed by his mysterious, yet very handsome 20-year-old neighbour, Liam Payne. The two lads get along really well right after they meet, and Liam seems to take an immediate liking to Harry. The curly-haired lad is hesitant at the sudden attention that Liam puts on him since they barely know each other, thinking something might be off with his too-friendly neighbour. What Harry certainly doesn't expect after befriending Liam is to find out just how obsessed Liam is with him. The brown-eyed lad might just be as crazy as Harry's other neighbours have warned him about. Not that those rumours that might just be true is enough to drive Harry away from Liam. He can't help it; Liam's darkness is Harry's weakness.
