Not Quite Strangers on a Bus

Sarah and Josef were almost, but not quite strangers. They found themselves together on a bus, half a world away from home and half a lifetime away from a shared ambition. Sarah noted the fine grey flecks in Josef's sandy hair and wondered at the lines etched deep into his brow and around his eyes. To Josef, Sarah had hardly changed in twenty years, she was so lovely that he didn't notice that she was avoiding his questions.
