The time is 1935. The place is Great Britain. Ingonyama, or Yama, named after the Xhosa word for "lion", is a Rhodesian Ridgeback born different from the rest of his litter; he has no ridge running along his back. Since Yama's litter is being bred for show, humans only accept the ridged dogs, and threaten to have him culled, or worse. What will become of Yama, his litter, and his life? Inspired by the BBC One documentary Pedigree Dogs Exposed, Ridges of Doom delves into the inhumane practices of the past Kennel Club, some of which still exist today.
Disclaimer: Note that I am not attacking the Kennel Club in any way or fashion. Although I may disagree with how they are deciding to breed their dogs for the "perfect pooch", I don't hate them at all. This book, as it was set in 1935, isn't a way to speak out against the KC's practices nowadays. Please, after reading this, do NOT attack anyone who is affiliated with the KC. Also note that every human and dog in this book are fictional, as in they don't and never have existed in real life. Any resemblance to real persons is merely coincidental. Please and thank you.

It is said that, in the deep forests of Malana, at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas, lives a Legendary Lion king "Singha" with his prides(the other Lion families), who has great magical powers and it can change into human form...it is believed to be a saviour of both Mankind...and the Jungle...and a few mysterious predators or creatures...but one thing is undoubtedly true that it always stands for everything righteous. Not only he is ferocious but he has scarlet hypnotizing eyes....and can kill it's enemies in a flick of seconds. The fiercest powerful Lion Singha, however longs for his humanmate....or his soulmate who is supposed to be the source of his humanly attributes and would be related to protection of the pride. Although nobody knows their existence yet The Villagers of Malana worship him and provide offerings during a full eclipse since time unknown. It is believed that on this very day....almost every 25 years...the next in line future Scarlet lion Singha claims his humanmate. And the Girl chosen is supposed to be his Scarlet Queen and together they rule the Mighty valleys of Himalayas. So guys, this story need not be completely true but i have taken inspiration from folklores and myths. Do give it a try as it is going to be full of Love, Thrills and Ferocious Romance.Concluida

Besides, in his new world, where his original master only viewed him as another giant check, and those he sold him to saw him as their next horrible fetish until he ripped their throats out, he found little reason to behave favorably. So, when a lion shifter crosses his path right before he is likely to be sold again, and actually treats him like he wasn't just a piece of meat to try and use, Palace isn't quite sure how to handle him.Concluida

My little sister loves Lion King and dared me to write something along those lines. She's annoying, and after a few months of bugging me, I gave in. The Lion King In The Human World Part 3
I did not see myself writing a part three to this, but here I am. The Lion King but all of our animal friends are humans. Mufasa's dead, Simba's running a trillion dollar company, Kopa, Kiara, and Kion are young adults heading for college(Kopa for his second year), Nuka's moving our of the King house, Vatani's starting a dance school, and Kovu's still trying to figure out this little thing called love. As for Taka(Scar) and Zira, who knows? But they're making a comeback. I'm highly annoyed with my little sister for making me write the first book. Still enjoy.Concluida

I peeked from behind the rocks, small and cautious, watching the lions for the first time. Their golden fur glowed in the sun, and their roars sounded so different from the jungle calls I knew. I didn't understand them at first - why they walked together, how they seemed to know what each other was thinking, or why they stayed so close to each other. I wanted to be like them - part of something bigger, strong and brave.
