"The way he looked at her was the way all girls wanna be looked at by a man." ~ The Great Gatsby

Jughead Jones has been best friends with Nikki Steele his entire life, but before they began their freshman year at Riverdale High he realized that there was more depth to his feelings towards her than he could have possibly imagined. "He'd been keeping it to himself because he was afraid. Afraid of the inevitable: she didn't feel the same way about him. The prospect of seeing him didn't get her out of bed in the morning; his smile didn't have the power to make her forget the whole world around them even existed; his laugh didn't sound like the most perfect symphony ever composed to her ears; and his eyes didn't make her believe in heaven and angels every time they glanced her way."
Will the recent events regarding Jason Blossom's death make him open up? Will she feel the same way?

The Athlete, the Sweetheart, and the Cynic

8 parts Complete

In a taunting voice, Reggie added, "Gee, Betty, it must be hard having a crush on some loner who doesn't even like girls." Betty raised her eyebrows, wordlessly commanding him to leave. "Did you hear me, Goldilocks?" "Oh I heard you, I just don't care. Time for you to leave, Reggie, you're not getting anywhere with me." On the outside, Betty Cooper was the perfect girl. A straight A student, sweet and kind, a play-by-the-rules kind of girl. Archie Andrews was her next door neighbor and best friend, athletically inclined, and though somewhat lacking in intellect, he was sincere and devoted. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, and everyone couldn't help but believe that Archie and Betty, young though they were, would someday end up together. But in this group there was another friend, Jughead Jones, a cynical, sardonic aspiring writer. He didn't always feel like he fit it with Betty and Archie. But somehow, he felt like he belonged with them, though he couldn't place why.
