My name is Samantha. There was only me and my beloved brother, Melvin. Our parents died in an accident last year. We're just an ordinary people living an ordinary life until the zombie apocalypse. To be honest, I love zombies but not to the point of dating them. I like the thrill they gave me when they chased you down and tried to eat you.
I have seen many types of zombie; from movies and series. Some of them were drawn to noises, some were drawn to human scent, some were drawn to movements and others might have more than one of the senses above. In other words, we cannot tell what is or are zombies' real characteristic(s). The kind of zombie we are dealing with? Limited edition; they can interact! They still go "arghhh... uuggghhhh... nyaaagghhh" but how do they interact? Can we even survive this apocalypse? How do we overcome this problem? Find it out by reading this story!

They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. I Survived
It was like any other day, i was with my daughter, amelia. She was about to fall sleep. She was in so much peace. No worry in the world. Her green eyes were shining, from the light of the moon. They slowly closed, and she drifted off into her soft snoring. For a 3 year old, she sure knows how to mess with your heart. I felt so bad. Her father left. Well, my husband found somebody better i guess. We had her when i was 20, and he left when she was only 4 months old. What a life. During my deep thinkink, the tv stated making that fog horn type noise, waking me up from my trance. The news was on, with the alert reading across the screen. "TAKE COVER, STAY IN HOMES. LOCK DOORS, STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS" i lay amelia in her bed, out of my lap. I lock the windows and the doors. When i came back, i missed whatever the alert was about...i should have waited. That mistake changed my life forever...Complete
A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Complete
