A collection of poems and song lyrics. All original. Some prompted through in-class assignments most of these were written from 13-16 years old during a time that I lived in my own mind. I wanted to live in a fantastical version of my reality to avoid trauma. Some of these poems romanticize my harmful coping mechanisms, because that's what I did at that time. Introspection: Poems by a Ruminator by theduckfaerie

When hardship is experienced, it is only human of us to think on the past. Sometimes though, we end up in a cycle of rumination, reliving events that cannot be changed; we become depressed in our memories. Writing can be therapeutic, so here is a collection of poetry exploring a range of sad and confronting memories. By sharing these poems, I hope to not only further my journey towards peace with the past but to connect with others out there who may be feeling the same way. This is a collection of poems by a ruminator for ruminators.

I gathered all of my writings in here. The writing I wrote while everyone is sleeping. These writings are my other side. The other side that no one ever knew.
