Hi, this is Alice. Alice Wisteria, and I'm about to tell you the story of my life. Let me tell you a bit about my reality, see I live in a world where everyone, and I mean everyone is born with a clock on their wrist. No, not an actual clock like gears, wood, and a chime to go along with it. It's a digital clock, almost like an image of a digital clock projected onto everyone's right wrist. You can't feel this digital clock on your wrist, see it's just there...existing. And this clock counts down as soon as you're born to a moment, a very specific moment in time. Can you guess what that moment is? It's a countdown to when you meet your significant other, that special person in your life. And this clock, means everything to people in my reality, well almost everybody...see I was born with a clock but mine's at zero.

I look up at Todd's window and grimace when I see him gently pushing Jennifer into his room. So that's where he went. My stomach clenches painfully as I watch him pull her in for a slow kiss and I quickly drop to the floor when he suddenly breaks off the kiss and looks directly at me. She has no idea how lucky she is. I'd kill to be her right now. I mean, Todd's attitude leaves a lot to be desired, but that doesn't stop him from being the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. It must be the contrast between his dark hair, tanned skin and bright blue eyes. And those muscles. Wow. I suppose his attitude could be fixed. Definitely. It's a little magic trick called duct tape.
