"We're over."

His voice was cold enough to shatter everything we had built together.

"I can't keep choosing you over my family anymore. This was a mistake... and i refuse to waste the rest of my life fighting a battle we can never win."

I stared at him, unable to breathe. "So... i was just a mistake?"

He stepped closer, his eyes filled with pain instead of love.
