        Arina Maddison and her best friend Evie just want a normal teenage life in New York City. Almost inseparable they do everything together. Including attending a traveling dragon exhibition only Evie is invited to. Among the odds and ends the girls come across a centuries-old text, that they can somehow read, establishing a connection to a mystical race called the Dragonborns. Suddenly thrown into a world they didn't even know existed. Full of monsters, magic, and mischief, they are whisked off to the Rocky Mountain Academy. Forced to adjust to new surroundings, and a deep-rooted power that Arina can't seem to get control of.
       When an ancient prophecy is believed to be coming to light, the two friends find themselves in more trouble than ever anticipated. With the help of new allies and Arina's power, Friendships will be tested as they're forced to confront an evil more fierce than ever expected before. Will they defeat all odds and overcome a battle that could mean the difference between life and death for not just them, but everyone like them? Or are the two, and their new companions destined to fall at the hands of a fate they never saw coming?
