When Josh Hewitt walked into Maple Ridge High, he thought he would have to endure yet another day of self-driving cars and pickup line prompters and group chats and social networks and virtual pool parties. On all other days, he would be right.

Yet today, against all odds and scientific progressions and simultaneous system backups, the Internet decided to die. Just like that.

Tables have turned. Josh, a modern day Neanderthal with an actual keyboard on his phone, is the only one equipped to survive the death of the Internet.
