The Songs of The Gullible Wiseman: The Early Poems of Maddy Kobar 2008-2013
A young writer's newly released first collection of poems. Written during the tumultuous and at times troubling years of high school and the more forgiving and enlightening years of college, Maddy Kobar captures what it was like to have come of age in the last few years. These poems touch on personal levels with hope and hopelessness amid the most confusing years of one's life as well as some of the larger issues facing our society- such as women's rights, LGBTQ equality and the fragile state of the environment. The poems are broken up into four categories; Love and Disappointment, At Desperation's Door, Voices That Speak for Themselves, and Life's Lies Unveiled (or Truths that must be told). This collection was originally released on Amazon in Summer 2013. I honestly want more reads and reviews on ALL my writing so I'm going to re-release this collection as a 2nd edition now for Wattpad. This edition may have differences from the 1st edition. I'm not partial to poetry any more. The quality varies between the poems. I wrote them all between the ages of 14 and 20.Concluida

John Laurens: A boy who has lived in South Carolina until he was ten. Homeschool until his senior year of high school. He was finally being enrolled at King's College after attending NYU for a year. He was never very social and only had a few friends. Not to mention he was gay. Alexander Hamilton: Orphan and Carribean immigrant. His father left at 10, his mom died at 12, and his cousin committed suicide at 17. He was on his own. Never went to school until he started his Sophomore year at King's College. For these two boys. Everything will change once they discover that they are roommates. How will this effect them? Story contains Lams, Mullette, a little Jeffmads, Thomgelica, Meggy, and other ships. Alexander Hamilton, an 18 year old senior, popular, and has a girlfriend named Eliza. Little did anyone know, girls aren't his only preference. (I know that Laurens is the one that's 3 years older, but John sounds cute as a shy kid. I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real.
