Liz and Skyler find themselves in detention after school. They are starting to become worried after hearing about the mysterious and deadly disease that is rapidly spreading across the globe. Helicopters and jets flying overhead become more regular. It's not until a bus full of kids runs into the front doors of the school, and they find that this disease isn't any ordinary cold, but a disease that brings people back from the dead and makes them acquire the taste for human flesh. They call them crawlers. Now Freya, Liz, Skyler and a few staff members are trapped in the school, and they are not alone. They must escape and find a place to go where they will be safe from the crawlers. They will try to survive in a world full of the undead.
