Everett Charles Edward Lancaster is counting down the days until he is crowned king of Gveolthesia. He is at odds with his younger brother Ernest and his mother is currently mourning the death of her husband and late king. His little sister Gwendolyn is feeling the pressures of being the woman of the house and his girlfriend Celestine is moving away to be wedded to a Earl. The only chance freedoms he has are in the late night, when he sneaks off into town to be with the common folk. It is there he meets a poor man who has only positive thoughts in an otherwise negative situation.
Charles James Taylor is a hardworking man who believes in destiny and good fortune to those who work hard and try their best in everything they do. He doesn't want his life to be put on hold for anything or anyone, he has plans and he is going to see them all through.
That's when Charles meets Prince Everett and after some back and forth pleasantries and a one night stand Everett gets more attached to the amusing young man than he expects.
