There it was. A little pink note, sitting on top of my books inside my locker. A frown found it's way onto my face, that can't be mine. I snatched up the little paper and unfolded it squinting at the messy writing. "You make my heart ache," It read, a love heart in the bottom corner. I groan left my lips and I leant head first against the locker. "How cliché." I whispered. Scrunching up the little pink note and throwing it in the trash can near my feet. Retrieving my books and slamming my locker door shut I set off down the hallway; that little pink note absent from my mind --------------------- Ash Wingard, presently doesn't care about school, boys or romance. She's on a mission. Top of her classes; she plays Varsity Basketball, Soccer and somehow became an honours student. Her best friend stands out among the throng, Lauren Rose Park. She hasn't the time for cute little dates, walks on the beach or little pink notes. Was it just a little bit too cliché?

Scholar

[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
