Lírica Rios and Artem Rothenberg have been pen pals ever since Lírica's fifth year of high school. Even though she's 22, and Artem is 21, they still don't know much about each other's lives. When Lírica takes a turn for the worse health wise, she and Artem become closer than ever, even if they only talk via text or email. Lírica and Artem finally open up and become the best of friends.

But then, Lírica's life gets turned upside down. No one is there for her anymore. She doesn't even try anymore. Why bother if there's no one to try for? But after a surprise visit from Artem, will she change her tune?
