To put it simply, Austin is a murderer. He was disowned and thrown out by his family after he came out to them as gay. Out of anger and insanity, he murdered them, and soon realized how absolutely pleasing it felt to him. Wren is the top detective in the town, and he had been appointed with the case of the several brutal murders that have occurred. But when he enters a small, humble coffee shop, he is met by someone he would never expect to commit such a heinous crime.
