After their parents died, Red and her brother Zeke were left all alone in the world. And with no money, no residency, and no way of employment, things were looking harsh. But they devised a plan.

To fool the local townsfolk, Red would run screaming from the woods claiming a wolf attack and beg travellers for help on their way to the village. Her desperate damsel in distress act worked every time, as did Zeke's wolf impersonation. But sometimes, like the Boy That Cried Wolf, eventually you find that no one believes you.

Or that they believe too much.
