An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.
PS: This book is basically re-telling the movie, so if you haven't watched it and choose to see the actual thing, I advice you NOT to read this. ENJOY!

Chiefly duties outweigh the calling of the sea, Maui has been gone for what seems like ages, and Moana's unhappiness returns, but is now self inflicted. However, destiny has big plans for its 'Little Ocean'. After swallowing one of Auahitūroa's (God of Comets) stars by accident, Tangaroa (God of the Sea) gives his heart to the Ocean so it will be protected from Auahitūroa's wrath. Somehow (but not really a mystery) Moana comes across the heart on the shores of Motunui. It unfortunately comes with a few consequences, including a new relationship with the water, conscious tattoos which come from nowhere and Moana's new status as a Demigoddess of the Great Ocean, and half-daughter of Tangaroa. Will Moana and Maui ever be able together even though everything stands in their way or will Moana do what her father wants and marry keoki? ~~everything in this book is fan fiction and all the characters that relate to the movie Moana belong to Disney.
