After a year away from New Orleans, Kol is called back by his family after a new threat rises in the city and begins to hurt Hope. However, this new threat has a link to the spirit world, and may be Kol's chance to get Elisa back. 

Meanwhile on the other side, Elisa has given up on hoping Kol will return, and has began worshipping a strong evil force.
