"How can you ask me that Fel...I thought ......i thought i meant more to you....I thought you enjoyed my presence". "Ashton...you won't understand right now. You are freaking twenty-five....l'm a fourty- seven years old mother with a kid to raise, to fend for. I have to help my son find his future. I can't handle another kid alright". TW: this book may contain mentions of violence and of suicide. DISCLAIMER #1: I wrote this story when I was a teen and while some mental disorders are the focal point, they may not be accurate representations as I was far from being a psychologist. There are several things Lynn doesn't quite get about the world she lives in, which makes it harder for her to figure herself out. She is not your average teenager. She's young, intelligent, though something about her is off by now. Everyone is quick to misjudge and point fingers, everything and everyone is so corrupted that she's afraid she'll lose herself among a bunch of wandering, empty souls. Therapy can only help so much, depression is hard to die, and in Lynn's case it's caused solely by the fact she doesn't 'fit in'. She can't really find her place in the world. But there's something really special about her; Her dreams are haunted by a wonderful, mystical place. No one understands her, they think she's off her rocker, that she needs to cut her childish daydreams. But Lynn knows deep in her heart that place really exists, and she'll do anything to find it, with the help of some new found friends. There's only one thing she must do: Keep an open mind, it brings open hearts and open eyes. -- DISCLAIMER #2 This fanfiction is inspired to Mind Over Matter by Pvris and their lyrics in general. All you read here is fiction. every reference to real events or people is purely coincidental. I do not own the songs featured in the book. After 15 year old Kahlil's mom dies she's torn apart. Not only does she lose her mother but soon she loses everything she'd worked her whole life for. When her father gets a transfer at work she has to leave behind her friends, her childhood home, and worst of all her mother. She doesn't have many friend's so that shouldn't be as hard to do, but she is having a hard time leaving her mother so soon. Luckily her best friend Kristy gets to come along and live with them so she's not completly alone. I mean who could just leave behind their best friend like that ? Her father is forced from Texas to ,Orlando in the blink of an eye. There she meets her all time favorite band. She just wishes it were under better circumstances. Will they get along ? Will they want to know her like a friend ? Or maybe even more than that ? Or maybe she will wake up and it have all been a dream. Note: This entire story as a whole is dedicated to my wonderful friend @musicluvver because she's just that flipping cool. However if you want a chapter dedicated to you I will still do that but the first and any other chapter I choose will be dedicated to her in the written dedication thingy. Anyways I hope you like this and keep reading it. And I'm out ! ( I don't like to say bye it seems like a corny pun. ) ~Kristine~
