Ryu stood up as best he could; trying to look away from all that blood, his parent’s blood. They were lying on the floor of their bedroom, motionless. His one gold and one violet eye, each shed a tear, sharing in his sadness as he cried ”Why, why did you take them away from me, you bastard! They were all I had I have no other family and now no friends!” “Oh Ryu, Ryu, Ryu, I did it all for you. So we could be together!” Lillif bellowed coming closer to Ryu with his knife. “I love you Ryu so that’s why I’m going to give you this scar to make sure you’re all mine” Lillif whispered in Ryu’s ear, proceeding to pin him down and cut his eye. “Ah, You bastard!” Ryu growled as his eye hopelessly bled. “That’ll leave a scar hope you love it, my love” Lillif whispered to Ryu. “I’m not your love, but I’m also not gay!” Ryu hollered struggling but he was too strong. “Don’t worry my love I’ll be back” Lillif declared kissing Ryu’s cheek and slowly unpinning him. That’s when Ryu threw a punch at him, missing, instead Lillif grabbed his arm and twisted it almost breaking it. “I guess you want to kill me right? Her once-neatly tied hair was matted and tangled, and her shattered glasses lay in pieces beside her like broken trust. Her voice was weak, but her words hit like shurikens. "They're back," she rasped, eyes flickering with both pain and fury. "The Purple Dragons." But this time, it wasn't just another gang brawl. This was personal. "They left me like this... as a message," she said, her voice cracking under the weight of the memory. "They wanted you to find me. Said it was a taste - a warning." The brothers exchanged dark glances, fists tightening. "And there's a new one," April added, barely able to lift her head. "A fourth member. I didn't see their face... but they were different. Cold. Precise. Like they had to enjoy it. They're the ones who did this to me." The silence that followed was suffocating. You're just like Dad." Jasper looked up at Toby. Their eyes bore into one another. "Fuck you," Jasper said and he'd pushed up from the table - tripped over his own two feet - and gone down. Edgar's dead. Jasper's in AA-after being told by Toby that he doesn't want to see him until he smartens up. Now, with just him, his two younger brothers and their Mum, Ethan and Francis will barely even look at him, and Toby feels like his life is falling apart. Again.
