The long haul~ a WillNe fanfiction

My father had always told me... "Althaea, quarters are better than pennies. Trust me my dear, you don't want 25pennies in your life... One quarter holds a much higher value. As you grow up, you will have some pennies in your life, but my dear, it will very soon become clear who the quarters are... Remember this Althaea." It wasn't until I graduated law school almost 15 years later and my dad tragically died, that I understood this message... And I began to distance myself from the pennies in my life and draw closer my quarters. So yeah, call me distant, closed off, guarded even... I'd rather be cold, distant, guarded and closed off than have a bunch of worthless pennies surrounding me. So that's me, Althaea winters. I have few friends... But trust me when I say... They are all quarters.
