Narrow Escapes, Narrower Paths

Narrow Escapes, Narrower Paths, is a short chapter of a novel I am currently writing. In this scene Shadow is in search of a map to lead to an artifact wanted by the Alliance, and VERY much desired by their enemies. In this action scene, Shadow and Kurama must evade capture by the Raiders of Mutationem Valley. While their mission keeps them steadily driffting closer to deadly territory, they must travel further into enemy lines.
