Romance
At Eagleton's Boarding School for Magics, there was only one thing that Heather Remington hated more than school work: Ian Sullivan. Sure, she was surrounded by charms and spells and potions, but what good was that when she got detentions for not tucking her shirt in from the irksome Sullivan, Student Leader extraordinaire? He was such the goody two shoes that it made Heather want to gouge her eyes out on the daily. He forced her to go to study sessions with him, made sure she did her homework, and mothered her more than her own mother was capable of. Then one day, things are different, and neither of them are quite sure what it is or what's happening to them. Add this to a Magic school, odd classes, friends who don't seem to understand, and an unfortunate incident involving a heavy book and a jock's head. And the Almost Glitter Incident (but whatever you do, DON'T mention the pink hair). Told over the course of a school year, the slow burn of a relationship is discovered by a month by month procession. Ian and Heather have a lot to find out-- both about themselves, and each other. Friends betray and opposites attract. Will Heather be able to shed her marble layers and allow Ian to see what she hides away? Start the new school year with them and find out.

This is a rewritten version of Golden Boy! It's completely new except for the names of the characters. Everyone has that one thing that they fear the most, that if they ever had to go through it, it would traumatize them. For Elliot, it was having someone break into her house. She's been scared of that ever since watching Michael Myers stalk his niece from outside her window in Halloween, a movie that she shouldn't have watched when she was 8 years old. Elliot faces her worst nightmare when a strange person with unexplainable abilities finds himself in her room, uninvited on Halloween night. She wakes up the next morning with no memory of it. Elliot's senior year was supposed to be above average, in the sense that it would actually be fun compared to the first three years of high school. It was the last year she was going to spend in her hometown Ardsley, New York, before moving across the country to LA for college. She was going to spend it going to parties with her best friend Camilla, eating fro-yo every day, and prepping for prom and graduation. Elliot would never have guessed how a certain Golden Boy would have a hand in ruining her senior year. Now she was stuck uncovering the truth as she's dragged into a whole new world she never asked to be a part of, with a boy she's never asked to become friends with, and possibly gain a new outlook of life that might just keep her in New York for longer than she would have liked.
