Odele lost everything last summer and hasn't been the same since then but refuses to reveal her pain to the person closest to her. Regulus is in love with his best friend and is worried something is wrong. Since she has changed over the last year for some unknown reason.

Regulus doesn't want to pry into her business but he's worried about what she's up to. Odele is worried that his family will pressure him to join the Dark Lord even though he claims he doesn't want to.

What does this year hold for the best friends and what will they discover about each other and about themselves?
