Rise of the Steam-Dead

Born into an impoverished family of Nobles and Alchemists, Emerald is far from normal. Brought up into a family with eccentric alchemists, bearded uncles with mechanical walking houses and a clockwork grandfather, she knows nothing outside the world of amazing inventions and creations her home-schooled life has given her. She has planned the rest of her life, everything she knows and dreams about, all she wants to be, create and design, safely tucked away in a small black book she keeps hidden away under her bed. She goes wild in their, writing down dates, events and pieces of advice for her future self and everything she thinks she will ever need to know. And then she meets a thief called Warren. And then everything she wants to be, everything she wants to do and everywhere she wants to go, changes.

And that's not all. Deep in the crevices of the ocean, unbeknownst to the populace of the massive Juggernaut city, New Australia, a bi-product of a green, swirling liquid, and a spark of electricity suddenly creates havoc.
