Theo Adams has every part of everyday planned down to the last second, the control helps her ease her anxiety and calm her racing mind. Adored and trusted by those around her, her kind and reassuring nature makes her agreeable to most and loved by many. Senior year is half way done and she's on the right track, her grades are high enough for Harvard and her friends and family are closer then ever, her future lays ahead, planned and in her grasp.

Enter Tate Marshall, tall, smart and sporty, he crashes into the lives of Theo and her friends. With his secret love of reading and his soft spot for his family making him somewhat of a mystery he still manages to appear just as aloof and goofy as the rest of the boys in the senior class at Seaview State High.

Then two cakes are mixed up and a world is turned upside down.

With her life suddenly spiralling out of control Theo can't figure out whether it's Tate that caused the hurricane that's tearing her apart or the only thing that's holding her together.
