When Pau and Pat stumble upon a crime scene, they meet a newly orphaned boy in need of parents. Issue is, the new law, created to prevent youth homelessness in the city, requires adoptive parents to be married. The court gives the lovers 48 days to marry one another, or else the child will be assigned a foster family. Will the two marry in time or lose their son forever?
