Thorns and Roses

One doesn't know how to start with describing Auria Damon. She was the stereotypical girl who preferred thorns over roses and books over blades.

As a young witch among a family of legendary sword wielding brothers and sisters, Auria had always been seen as the only bad thing to ever happen to the Damon family. She, of course, didn't listen and practiced her arts every chance to the dismay of her parents.

As the years flew by, Auria had become a well known spell caster who shielded the village she grew up in from harm. She had always found burning something into ashes more effective that wasting stamina by using a long stick make of steel to cut through her foes.

As a letter slowly flittered it's way to her front door, Auria knew (in a moment that fit very well in cliche adventure stories) that her life was ever changed. It was horrifying to see that she was chosen as a candidate to lead an army to defeat a dragon who had risen in the east continent, Aelburn.

What was more discomforting was that her parters were a flirty homosexual young man and a mercenary who dislikes sand and talking, and griffins.
