"So," He said shyly, "Want a hot chocolate?" He said, a small smile rising up on his lips. I look at him and contemplate to myself, but nod my head after sighing and heisting. When he comes back he leans against the booth across from me. "If you don't mind me asking, who was that guy?"
"Why do people say 'if you don't mind me asking' before asking a personal question?" I blurt, before blushing and shaking my head. "Sorry. He's my dad." I apologize as I twirl the straw around the foam cups, lightly blowing on the lid as if to cool it down.
He cursed to himself. "Never mind," He murrmerd. I looked up, confusion covering my face like a thick blanket.
"What are you 'never minding'?" I ask, tossing my hair ouI of my eyes and blinking before looking back up at him.
"I was gonna try an impress you and say 'I'll beat him up' but I you can see..." He blushed and looked down at himself. "I'm a wimp." He chuckled to himself, causing me to laugh a bit. I smiled and met his eyes.
"Yeah, trust me. His hit can really injury someone," I laugh, him joining in, and shake my head; shaking the bad thought out of my head. I unconsciously touched the forming under my right eye. "Nice try though."
"Yeah but hey?" I looked up and met his eyes with a small smile. I raised a brow and smiled. "At least you can say you walked in with a frown and walked out not looking down."
