The samurai's wife. The hostess. The entertainer. The geisha. The beauty. All were titles that Yuriko had grown accustomed to. She had been Lady Yuriko for 12 years. Her husband, Lord Yoshi Naga, had been a daimyo as long as they'd been married. She was known by many samurai and even the Shōgun as an amazing entertainer, and hostess, as well as being of noble birth, beauty, intellect, and etiquette. She was the ideal Japanese wife. Until it all came falling down. Naga died honorably in battle, killed by Shōgun. Her son, her only child, felt that he had fallen daimyo, and performed seppuku.
