Alaric saltzman still comes to town and is still her teacher but when he comes to town the Salvatore brothers arrive to the boarding house and tries so hard in their power to win over Elena but she's so damn stubborn and stays with the originals eventually Hayley Marshall arrives into town and she tells Elena Gilbert that she is apart of her wolf pack and that the women who said she was her mother wasn't her real mother and that her birth mother sacrificed her own life so that Elena could live a happy normal life until she triggered her werewolf cures which just so happens when she is super drunk with Kol and they drive home wasted and they hit a human lying down in the middle of the road but the man was the one and only Jonathan Gilbert.
