The story follows the life of Cassandra Woods a vampire who falls deeply in love with a 554-year-old vampire named Ethan Salvatore. Their relationship becomes increasingly complicated as Cassandra's vicious and malevolent older sister Cataleya Woods returns with a plan to wreak havoc on the town, seeking revenge against her younger sister for killing the love of her life. It is revealed that Cataleya is a raging monster, who eventually returns with plans against the duo. Cassandra undergoes many hardships and deaths of close family members and loved ones through her high school experience. When Cassandra turned she went insane for blood, this caused her to kill Cataleya's love. After that incident she managed to control it but eventually her uncontrollable thirst and craving for blood came back when she was with Ethan. Will she let blood win?
