  James sighed, defeated.

The door opened, and they both looked up. Prefects started filling the room, ready to start the new school year. Lily smiled professionally and James mimicked her, greeting and congratulating the other students. Before Lily started to speak, she took a last glance at James. He smiled slightly, his small dimples made him look so innocent and adorable. She breathed in and looked down at the paper in front of her, one thought protruding out from the rest, I will not fall in love with James Potter. --- In their final year at Hogwarts, Voldemort is on the rise, luckily though, Hogwarts is still safe... mostly. James and Lily are finally civil but Lily finds herself feeling something more that she can't keep denying. Remus is drowning himself in school work, blaming the upcoming NEWTs, but Sirius isn't convinced, could there be another reason for his constant avoidance?
