Alix of Vaniville Town (formerly of Goldenrod City) wanted the chance to meet lots of Pokémon. A reasonable goal, right? But when he expresses such wishes to strange Legendary Hoopa, it's granted in a way no one would expect... And he wants out. To do that, however, he'll have to fulfill a nigh-impossible favor of Hoopa's in return...

Along the way, he'll meet a colorful cast of people, such as well-meaning Shauna, eccentric Sycamore, overly brooding Lysandre, and mysterious Diane. He'll also, bizarrely, fight a strange gang obsessed with fashion...? Nonetheless, Alix will have to persevere through it all if he wants to survive...
