Fernkit is born into Thunderclan. Her parents are Stormcloud and Ivypool, and her siblings are Oakkit, Cloverkit and Timberkit. Then, the day comes when she and her siblings become apprentices. Fernpaw's mentor is Ambermoon, but the ginger she-cat has been acting strangely, and always avoided Fernpaw when she was a kit. After half a moon, the grey she-cat has had enough of her mentor's strange acts, and asks her why she behaves like that. Ambermoon then reveals the truth, and Fernpaw wished that she had never asked her mentor about it. But her dreams have been troubled and dark, and the same prophecy keeps repeating itself.
