Rebecca Shaw is a girl who's moved 3 times in her life, has an older and younger brother. She has black hair, blue/green eyes, and learned French in school. She's not good at drawing, but she's very expressive. Everything about is something you could pull from any other character.
  Except that she's deaf.

Highest ranking: #1 in Teen Fiction -- "Sunshine, what guy do you know has a weird fetish with sign language?" She's the aftermath of a high school party nightmare. Tragedy robbed her of her innocence and stole her voice before she had the chance to speak out. The court called her a liar, and the guilty was set free. Now memories plague her mind and trap her in solitude. She was forced to learn sign language, struggling to find a way to voice her silence. He's the definition of the boy she tried to stay away from. The epitome of harsh rumors and hopeless fantasies. The source of lies and blame. He's analyzed, misunderstood, and utterly mysterious. And he may be the one to find her voice. When they meet, she gets accustomed to his arrogance and he gets accustomed to her silence. An essay is what brings them together, but what happens when he starts asking too many questions? Will her past continue to drag her down, or will he save her? Fate has a funny way of bringing people together, but it doesn't always work how it's supposed to. *different summary inside* "Perfect amount of tragedy, humor, and romance!" -Sparkles530 "I feel like I learned a lot from your story, thank you." - 980Sarah "This book is beautifully written. After an accident in eighth grade, Louisa Kelley was blind. Every day was a struggle for her as she tried to adjust to life both at school and at home, but life got easier with practice. As soon as Louisa entered high school, things had changed for the worse. The students around her bullied her because she was different, harassing her, stealing her things, and talking about her behind her back, making an already difficult life so much harder. Now in her junior year of high school, Louisa is broken and without anyone to call a friend. She eventually decides to remove herself from the bullies that surround her daily and be home schooled. That is, until she met Alex. Alex Mirren was born deaf, but when he was six years old, he received a cochlea implant that allowed him to hear. Even after the ten years of speech therapy where he had to teach himself how to hear, Alex prefers to stay in the silence and only communicates with the world when necessary. Life seemed dull to him as he was stuck in between two worlds of silence and noise, not knowing his purpose or place in society. That is, until he saw a girl with a walking stick in the hallways. Louisa and Alex weren't made for each other. Although the very presence of each other gives them new hope and strength, things are difficult as Louisa thrives by using her hearing, while Alex shies away from sound and uses sight. Without being able to communicate easily, they must learn to overcome the barrier of the silence between them, which is easier said than done. But aren't the struggles worth it to be with that one person that means everything?

"Noah, I won't do it unless you ask me to," he whispered, his voice seductively low. "What?" I asked almost breathless. "Kiss you," he murmured. "And God, there are no words for how badly I want to." **** Noah was your all American boy. Captain of his soccer team, extremely good-looking, having other boys want to be him and girls want to be with him, but there's one problem. He doesn't chase after the captain of the cheerleading squad or the girls who spread their legs open for whoever asks. In fact, he doesn't go for any girl. Instead, he hates himself when his eyes linger on a guy that his brain and heart say is cute. He's gay, and he's having a hard time accepting himself for it. It doesn't help when he wakes up almost naked in another guy's house, let alone in another guy's bed. And to make matters worse, he can't help but fall for the outspoken and extremely attractive Madison who he'd drunkenly went home with and tried to screw. Finally, to add the cherry on top of the crap-tastic cake, Noah is forced to work with Madison for at least six months, or he'll lose his beloved soccer. Nothing could go wrong, right? Throw in a bit of awkwardness mixed with a few close calls and you've got a recipe for disaster....and a tiny tear in Noah's heavily protected heart. © 2018 *endless thanks and love to @half_a_hetero for helping me with the Italian in this book.
