“So why don’t you tell the class a little bit about yourself?” OH, it’s not like I never heard that line before. To be exact, I’ve probably heard that line about seven times. And let me tell you, it has gotten old! I’ve been to seven different high schools in the past four years. It kind of sucks if you ask me, but I’ve gotten used to it. And the only person to blame is my mother. Every single time she goes through a “terrible” break-up, and by “terrible” break-up I mean the guy and her having a “fun” night and him leaving without notice. She then sulks around the house for a week with a tub of ice cream and a jar of chocolate, then we pack up our things and move. It never occurred to me to try and make new friends at the schools I’ve been too because of three things: 1) I know in the end, I’ll be leaving them soon. 2) They’re all dumb-asses. 3) I’ve already gotten the best friend ever. At least it’s finally senior year for me, and I won’t have to deal with the fact of moving every damn time a guy decides to skip out on my mother. In nine months (I’m not pregnant) I’ll be able to pack up my things and move for the last time, and hopefully I won’t have to leave any one I care about behind. And anyways what can possibly happen to the new kid?

❝Sierra, don't ever believe in love. They cheat your feelings and they don't last forever." That is what she said. Well, maybe she's wrong, maybe love doesn't cheat your feelings. Maybe love lasts forever. I felt like I couldn't even breathe, everything was trying to stop me from doing so. But I did. "Stressed?" Luke asked. "No. Just rewinding back this memory in my brain. My mother said to never believe in love." "God, your mother is naive. Sorry, just thinking out loud," Luke said. I just shrug. "Do you, then?" He stayed quiet. "I do. I mean, everyone does, right?❞
