The Line In The Letter: Short Story

Reyna Smith has never been ordinary. She suffers from mental illnesses like Anxiety Disorder, Extreme Depression, and Schizophrenia. She has been living in the long term care unit for the mentally ill out of the Northshore Medical Center. She's lived here for five years since her last foster family decided she was 'at risk' being in the real world, how she 'endangered others around her'.
She had come to terms with her illnesses, she had even come to find confidence in who she was. Yet, her life had become routine, boring. She talked to the same people every day, took her medicene, etc. The only thing that seemed to change was how the episodes of her favorite TV shows changed every week.
That is until a new volunteer worker shows up at Northshore Medical Center. Daniel Jones. The hot, teenage bad boy on 'community service' for breaking into a electronics store.
As he serves his time, he becomes a source to the outside world. A source Reyna eventually begins to fall for.
Only, fate is cruel. After Daniel's service is completed, he will no longer be required to volunteer at Northshore.
What will happen to these star-crossed lovers? Are they doomed to fail?
