A smile can tell others many things at first sight. Happiness, excitement, pride, laughter, love, pretty much anything that a smile is always known to show.
But it also hides the truth.
Sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, emotional pain, broken spirits, mental wounds, and -in most cases- depression. A smile can easily hide these terrible truths in order to protect others from having to deal with us, the warriors of a long battle against many misunderstood mental conditions that many people who can't understand, can easily dismiss us with a "get over it" quote.
This is my battle as a warrior fighting against depression, anxiety, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the history I've made through my path of the fatal war many of us are facing each day. All the battle scars I've gained, all the hope I lost, how I almost lost the fight three times, will be set here.
In my own words, I describe depression, the master of disguise.
