Shiona's mother is teaching in India for a year, and she is left with her father. She misses her mother a lot, and wishes she could see what Shiona has to deal with while she is gone.

When Margaret Jones's mother and siblings die and her father goes missing and is presumed dead, Margaret, a determined headstrong seven year old goes in to hiding. But every one knows hook has a daughter, but where is she now. Many people make claims, but none point near a school girl, bullied most of her life, living on a sandy beach. And so she grows accepting she's an orphan, and her identity can not be revealed. But hurt and feeling can conquer the human mind. So much so that they can make you believe in the smallest of things.
