"'They've done it...' Jack said, tears welling up in his eyes. 'They've really done it....'. He gazed upon the scattered remains of his home, his school, his dad's shop. Everything was gone. None of these all too familiar places were gone. In their places were broken slabs of stone, covered in a dark, luminescent purple."

Jack was a normal thirteen year-old boy, until Area 51 suddenly nuked everything with no warning. He and his friends find out a way to reverse all of the effects of the bombing. A substance called the "Time Orb", which can revert time to the date of the person who touches it's choice. In the post-apocalyptic wasteland formerly known as Wiltshire, this adventure novel is sure to have you spellbound and wanting more.

In the sprawling waste zones of Ashfield, a city choked by the refuse of a broken society, Jack Vesper sorts through discarded junk with no real future in sight. At 25, he's just another misfit, another person tossed aside by the world, now working a grueling job as a garbage sorter. The days are monotonous, but when he stumbles upon a strange, black metal sphere buried deep in the trash, everything changes. Curious, Jack presses a hidden button on the sphere, releasing a small black chip into his hand. It feels heavy with mystery and potential, too precise to be just another piece of discarded tech. With no one else around on a slow Saturday shift, Vesper pockets the chip and continues his work, unaware that this seemingly insignificant object is about to pull him into a new, dangerous world. Jack's curiosity gets the better of him, and he travels to a long-forgotten lab on the outskirts of the city. The lab, once a hub for cutting-edge research, is now abandoned, its halls lined with old maps, blueprints, and cryptic notes. As he begins to study the charts, he discovers a book of labyrinths spanning the globe-labyrinths not just made of stone, but of technology and power, their existence hidden from the world. Some of these labyrinths hold secrets of unimaginable value; others, unfathomable dangers. The chip seems to be a key-a gateway into these labyrinths. As Jack begins to piece together the labyrinth's secrets, he realizes that it could lead him to a power unlike anything the world has ever known. But with that power comes the threat of those who would stop at nothing to control it. The line between friend and foe blurs, and Vesper must navigate not only the physical maze but the twisted web of secrets and lies surrounding him. The adventure begins with one small chip-and the future depends on what Jack discovers within the labyrinth's depths.

SERIES DISCONTINUED :C I wanted to write a Gally x reader story because Gally gets a lot of hate sometimes and he's underrated :/ Some of this will be my own little AU of what I believe are the sexualities of the characters, gender identities, including my own characters with LGTBQIA+ aspects, including some characters who survive. This is my story, and I hope you enjoy it :) ----------------------------------------------- RELATIONSHIP TYPE: Enemies To Lovers ----------------------------------------------- CHARACTER IMPERFECTION: God Complex ----------------------------------------------- "Hey, Gal!" You chirp, spinning on your heel. "Hey, that was cool." His eyebrows raise in slight surprise, now letting reality sink in that you are actually his girl. And this is what he has to deal with. "Wow, you really are hyper today." "You said it!" You grin. You feel so much energy going through you after good nights of sleep, well. Goodnights as best as you can get. "Here, take this." He hands you something and you start turning it in your hand almost immediately after receiving it. Looking down at it curiously to see some sort of wooden turn. It's kind of like the door handles, or a rower for a fishing rod. Except it's only the handle for a fishing rod. No rod or line. So it's basically just a fidgety piece of wood. You start turning both sides, spinning it around in your hand. "Easy there." Gally chuckles. He steps closer to you, rubbing his arm up and down your back to soothe you. "You doing okay?" "Yep." You chirp, grinning up at him. He double-checks your expression. His eye staring into yours to see how you're feeling. When he's sure you're not too stressed out, he removes his arm from you and throws a rag over his shoulder. "Okay, stick by me. Ya hyper little bunny..." I obviously do not own Maze Runner or the characters, that belongs to James Dashner :) Start Date: 13/08/21 End Date: 11/09/21
