Aqua, Chanel, and Dorinda, also known as "The Cheetah Girls," have returned to New York City, where their musical journey began. After traveling to India to star in Vikram's musical film and performing at a music festival in Spain with Galleria, they're back to their roots.

But this time, things are different.

Their optimistic and talented manager, Jamie, has a plan to catapult them to stardom by entering a contest and guiding them into the music industry. The girls believe this could be their ticket to fame and a record deal, but their past soon catches up with them.

However, their luck takes a turn for the worse when they discover they must split up and abandon the NextFest contest, with only one member securing a record deal.

Their friendship and dreams are now in jeopardy.
