"A new storm is brewing and you know that this one is bigger and stronger than previous generations." Seventeen year old Alex Storm is anything but an average teen. At the age of four, she was abandoned by her parents with no memories of what happened before. After being found in an alley and adopted by her older "brother" John, she has been training and fighting for people ever since. One day on a train, Alex notices a strange message written on an underground train station wall that she believes was written just for her. What happens when Alex tries to investigate who wrote the message? What will she learn about her past that was blocked from her memory? How will her secrets effect her social and love lives?

Alex Fitzgerald is just herself. No one cares about her. If anyone speaks to her, it's to hurt her. Nate Turner is the guy that everyone wants. Girls scream for him, boys envy him, and the school worships him. But he doesn't want any of it. He tries to keep away from everyone. He tries to be alone. But he just can't get a break. Naturally, Alex has a huge, embarrassing crush on Nate. And Nate has a huge, embarrassing crush on Alex. Neither will say anything. One day, in a state of boredom, Nate writes a message on a sticky note, and presses it under his chair during his biology class. Alex finds it during her study hall in that same room. She writes back. For the whole school year, Nate and Alex share a stream of yellow and purple sticky notes, writing to each other. Alex is happy that she has a friend. Nate is happy that someone is talking to him that DOESN'T know who he is. There's only one problem. Neither of them know who they're writing to.
