Everything Alek ever wanted was served to him on a platter. He was clever, rich and handsome. Everyone wanted him. His dear grandfather Nathaniel Hawthorne is growing old and tired of Nicholas's selfish behaviour. Every other maid that worked for Nicholas ran out of the house in tears or anger.

He hires a new maid he thinks will be able to deal with Nicholas's selfish behaviour.

And that maid is Mikaela.

Mikaela is a girl who is desperate for a job and a home. Her home and job had been taken away leaving her with barely any money to live.

Mikaela finds any job worth it at the moment and quickly accepts Nathaniel's offer.
