The unforgivable demon, Bill Cipher, is trapped in a human body. He decided to try and make the most of the situation, which led to him inflicting pain apon himself. The people who saw him in his new form were horrified by the scenes of gore. They sent him away to the Gravity Falls Asylum.

Since Weirdmageddon, Dipper could never get a certain Cipher out of his head. Originally, he assumed it was just hatred for the demon and him reflecting on what had happened that summer. But, he never could get the demon out of his mind. Never would Dipper have thought he'd see Bill again. Until one summer when Dipper was 17, he and his sister Mabel decided to head back to Gravity Falls.
