The Eyes Of John Miller

With five weeks left until graduation, he signs up for a direct commission. But when he does, he gets told he has an option of becoming an officer. With dreams of being a skilled marksman vanishing as North Korea, Syria, and several other nations declare war on America, John Miller becomes an officer in the U.S. Army, not telling his family a thing.

He tells the news as soon as they greet him after graduation at Basic Combat Training. They're all devastated, including his girlfriend, who decides that they aren't meant to be.

Given his own platoon of infantryman to lead, he leads them into Syria, in efforts to seek and destroy enemy forces and rescue a lost squad.

Will he succeed and make it home? Will things work out between John and Katie? With increasing danger, will he survive and keep his men alive? Is WWIII the end of America, or will they pull through and destroy the enemy?
